Jasmine has an intense, smooth and floral aroma that is both sweet and lingering. Since ancient times, Jasmine has been referred to as the King of oils. It is an expensive oil because it takes approximately 8,000 hand-picked blossoms to produce 1 ml of oil. It is mainly used in perfumes but is good for skin care formulations as it can aid in toning up of body as well as soothe dry, greasy, irritated and sensitive skin. It can also help in reducing stretch marks and scarring when applied topically and when applied to the temples, can help relieve headaches. Jasmine is also hormonally balancing and emotionally balancing, helping relieve depression, fatigue, and anxiety.
