Balsam Peru has a rich, balsamic, sweet vanilla-like undertone, making it an affordable substitute in natural perfumery when a sweet vanilla note is desired. It is mainly used in perfumery and skincare, but also used in massage for circulation and commercially in cough syrup and soft drinks. It is indicated for respiratory and immune system issues as well as itchy skin from scabies, ringworm, and eczema.
