Carrot Seed Essential Oil: How To Use Recipes And More!

Carrot Seed essential oil can be an amazingly beneficial oil for the skin. Because it is an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory oil,  it can help soothe, protect, and repair damaged skin and even dry, damaged hair. This oil also is a stimulating essential oil that can help energize and possibly aid in memory and circulation, yet is calming and soothing for stress and fatigue. So how do you use this oil to take advantage of all its great skin repairing, anti aging and stimulating properties? Here are few easy ways to Carrot Seed essential oil that we think you'll love!
1. Creating Your Own Blend

Carrot Seed oil has a natural compound called alpha-pinene that is shown to be stimulating to brain function. You can combine this oil with other oils that have complimentary properties to create one amazing synergy for your diffuser. Carrot seed oil has a woody, earthy aroma and blends well with spice, citrus, and some woody and floral essential oils such as Cedarwood, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Bergamot Lemon, Lavender, and Sweet Orange. For a spicy carrot blend, try 3 drops carrot seed, 2 drops black pepper, 1 drop cardamom and 1 drop of allspice. For a soothing carrot blend, try combining 1 drop of carrot seed, 4 drops of lavender and 3 drops of bergamot oil.


 
2. Soothing carrot seed Body Gel

Carrot seed essential oil can be soothing for skin problems that stem from inflammation. It has antibacterial and antioxidant properties to keep skin looking its best. You can apply carrot seed oil topically in a soothing gel by combining 3 drops of carrot seed, 2 drops of lavender with 1 tablespoon of Jojoba oil and 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel. Keep in the fridge for a cooling effect when you apply.


 
3. Add to other products

If you want to harness the benefits of carrot seed essential oil, but don't have time to create your own product, try adding a few drops of carrot seed to your moisturizer, face cream, or lotion.


 
4. Scalp Stimulating Rub

Carrot seed oil is stimulating for the scalp and may help with issues like dandruff. Try massaging 2 drops carrot seed, 1 drop of rosemary, and 1 tablespoon of argan, jojoba, or kukui oil into the scalp for about 5 minutes. Shampoo out as normal.


 
5. Carrot Seed essential oil Body Butter

Carrot seed essential oil is said to help skin renewal and prevent signs of Carrot Seed Essential Oilaging. Try creating a body butter with 1/2 cup of shea butter, ¼ cup of coconut oil, ¼ cup of sweet almond oil, and 10 drops of carrot seed, 5 drops of Lavender and 5 drops of Geranium or use a 10-20 drops of a blend of your choice. Combine shea butter, coconut oil, and sweet almond oil in a pot and melt over low heat until all ingredients are liquid. Be careful not to heat too fast or burn the mixture. Remove from heat and let cool completely to set. It will look more cloudy as it cools. Once cool, add essential oils and mix 1 to 2 minutes with a hand mixer or stand mixer until fluffy. Store at room temperature in an airtight container and out of heat as it may melt.
