- Ditch plastic straws.
Plastic straws are one of the leading causes of environmental pollution. According to Better Alternatives Now, they constitute 8% of plastic waste. So, when ordering your beverage skip the straw and bring your own reusable one.
- Recycle Your Bottles
Reduce, reuse, recycle is the best motto! If you purchase water bottles, make sure to save them and head to your local grocery store to recycle. Many stores have a recycle location in their parking lot. Not only can this make you extra cash but it helps the environment as well. When possible, try reusable water especially when you’re running errands.
- Conserve Water
The less water you use, the less runoff and wastewater ends up in the ocean. Doing things like cutting down shower time or not running the water too long while washing dishes can help!
- Shop Sustainable
Here at Plantlife, we only use sustainable ingredients. It is important for us to not only provide amazing body care products but to make sure our ingredients are not causing damage to the environment. Check out this podcast to hear more about our efforts here.
- Recycle More Than Water Bottles
Did you know you can recycle more than just a water bottle? You can compost a pizza box, and you can recycle foil (as long as it’s cleaned off).
- Volunteer
Spend your free time volunteering for cleanups around your community. You can also get a group of friends together and create your own cleanup efforts around town.
