We Love Lemongrass!

Native to Asia and India, Lemongrass has become popular in many different industries from culinary to medicine to skin care and cosmetics. Here at Plantlife, it is one of our staples! We love Lemongrass and we think you should too!
Latin name Cymbopogon Flexuosus, this perennial grass has been long praised for its light and refreshing citrus aroma. Largely grown in India, Lemongrass is steam distilled from the freshly cut leaves. After distillation, the grass is used to feed local cattle. The resulting oil from the distillation process is a yellow, amber color with a lemony, herbaceous, citrusy aroma with earthy undertones.

Lemongrass has also been said to be an antidepressant, antimicrobial, astringent, sedative, fungicidal, and a bactericidal. It has been used to aid with muscular pain, fevers, headaches, exhaustion, cellulite and to promote good digestion.
