According to the researchers, the study concluded that "the leaf essential oils and their constituents of C. osmophloeum have excellent anti-inflammatory activities and thus have great potential as a source for natural health products."
Obviously we're not doctors here but we thought this is a great piece of information that adds validity to the benefits of Cinnamon having anti-inflammatory properties. Plus doctors have performed studies that show that just smelling cinnamon improves our memory and performance of certain tasks!
Research led by Dr. P. Zoladz in 2004, at the annual meeting of the Association for Chemoreception Sciences, found that chewing cinnamon flavored gum or just smelling cinnamon enhanced study participants cognitive processing. Specifically, cinnamon improved participants scores on tasks related to attentional processes, virtual recognition memory, working memory, and visual-motor speed while working on a computer-based program.
This is why cinnamon and a Chinese variety known as "cassia," is a key ingredient of our natural body care line. Check our Candles, Essential Oils and Aromatherapy Soaps with cinnamon !
