Tagetes has a minty, oily, green aroma that is slightly sweet. It is helpful for repelling insects and is said to have antiparasitic and antifungal properties. Commonly used to create “attar genda” which is a popular Indian perfume. Mainly used in the perfume industry. Excess exposure should be avoided as its main constituent, Tagetone is considered harmful to humans in large amounts.

<b>Blends well with: </b>Bergamot, Clary Sage, Jasmine, Lavender, Lemon, Myrrh, and Tangerine.

<b>Cautions: </b>Never use essential oils undiluted or in eyes or mucus membranes. Do not take internally unless working with a qualified and expert practitioner. Keep away from children and pets. If applying an essential oil to the skin, always dilute and perform a small patch test to an insensitive part of the body.
